Book Sale Volunteers

Volunteers are also needed on Saturday and Sunday the weekend of the sale. People who have volunteered before may be asked to work as cashiers. New volunteers will be asked to assist customers and keep sale items organized. Volunteer shifts on sale days last 2 ½ - 3 hours.

Volunteers are also needed to help pack up and store unsold items after the sale is over on Sunday afternoon. Helping with take down is another great way for students to earn service hours. Take down generally takes around 1 hour.

If you are interested in volunteering with Friends book sales, we will work with you to find the days and times that work best with your schedule.

Publicity Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to help get window flyers up at locations around town in the weeks leading up to a Friends book sale. Flyer distribution generally takes about 1 hour.

Book Shelvers

Volunteers are needed to help shelve donated books once they have been sorted and priced. Book shelvers need to be detail-oriented, focused, and available to work in the evening on a weekday.
