Woven Together: One Town, One Day, One Read

Celebrate our majestic National Parks and outdoor spaces with the beautiful picture book, You Are Home: An Ode to the National Parks, written and illustrated by Evan Turk.

You Are Home is the centerpiece of the library’s latest Woven Together: One Town, One Day, One Read community read event that takes readers on a journey of landscapes and wildlife. Join celebrations throughout Mount Prospect and the live Zoom program on March 8 (7 p.m.) that features Turk reading aloud his book.

Every participating school will receive a copy of the book. Watch for more activities supporting this community-wide experience in the spring. 

The library’s Woven Together Community Read initiative brings together children and educators to celebrate great works of literature, encourage a love of reading, and spark discussions. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
