The first Friends Book Sale of 2022 was a HUGE success! People turned out in large numbers to shop the huge selection of items in the parking garage and two rooms in the library. We raised more for the Mount Prospect Public Library in two days than we had done previously with many three-day sales before the pandemic.

For children up to grade 5 along with their families. Get a chance to meet author/illustrator Evan Turk and hear him read his book You Are Home: An Ode to the National Parks in the culminating event of the library's Woven Together program. The library’s Woven Together Community Read initiative brings together children and educators to celebrate great works of literature, encourage a love of reading, and spark discussions.
The first ever Friends of the Library garage sale was a huge success. The Friends sold an estimated 16,000 books, DVDs, CDs, and other items. The community turned out in huge numbers with many people taking advantage of the "bag sale" pricing.
